Experienced players looking for surgical control and outstanding feel should love this one

Featuring the same specs as the standard version, this sleek black version of the Speed Pro combines the precision of an 18x20 string pattern with a near-perfect balance of speed and stability.  In addition to delivering the connected feel that advanced players crave, the Speed Pro Black packs more than enough spin potential to bring the ball down effectively. Technologies include a uniquely flexible Auxetic construction in the yoke, which is designed to calibrate ball feedback to stroke speed and impact location. As with the previous generation, this update has Graphene 360+, giving it polarized weighting for easier power along with SpiralFibers for better ball feedback. Ultimately, with its precise targeting and exceptional feel, the Speed Pro is a great option for experienced players. The cool black cosmetic is a nice bonus.

Best Racquet EverI’ve played with many, many racquets. To name a few; Pure Aero 98, Pure Drive, Ezone 98, Blade, Shift, Pro Staff 90, 97, Tecnifibre, Gravity Pro, Speed MP the list goes on. Compared to the Speed Pro I haven’t played with a more stable and great feeling racquet. My speed pro was a little over spec. After it being strung and with an over grip and dampener it came up to 12.0 ounces. But the swingweight didn’t make it feel heavy to swing (Only to take it back if you have a ball coming in quick). This blacked out racquet is very different compared to the Speed Pro (2022 white and black). Maybe because of the paint job but it felt much much better than the 2022 version. The 2022 version had a very muted feel and it felt like the speed mp. But this black cosmetic has a great ball pocketing feel. I can really feel where the ball is going instantly. The ground strokes are top tier. Plows through any ball with ease. I have a one handed backhand and it’s amazing due to the weight for the ground stroke. Volleying at net is so easy due to the racquets stability. This racquet is a brick wall and won’t move in your hands. If you get the normal spec I suggest adding weight to the hoop if you can manage the swing. I know everyone says this about most 18x20s but this racquet gives a lot of spin. Serving is great, great for flat serves. I have switched to this racquet after my year long racquet journey and I couldn’t be happier. The top 2 reasons why I switched to it are because of the stability and the feel. Many racquets either have one of those things or none. (Other than the blade reverse 16x19 v7, that racquet also has it all.) I’m a 4.0, my string of choice is luxilon 4G 1.30 and I can’t to go back on the court and play with this racquet! THIS IS MY RACQUET

Probably one of the best rackets of 2023I decided to give this racquet a try as I liked the old Speed Pro back then. As a 3.5/4.0 player coming from using the Wilson Shift now, I thought this Speed Pro was definitely better for its rock solid feel and precision more when it came to groundstrokes. You definitely need to swing full and fast, hence its Speed name, to maximize the potential of this racquet when it comes to control on groundstrokes (none of that amateur 3.0 or below half swing or bunt, otherwise this racquet is meaningless to you). The only noticeable downfall is this racquet is a bit heavy, like you definitely will feel and notice the difference compared to say a Wilson Blade v8. Other than if you don’t mind the weight, this racquet I'd say is one of the best I’ve played with when it comes to groundstrokes, stability, playing up at net and control. Serves with this racquet took me some time because I felt it was a bit too “powerful” and sailed just out wide a little from time to time, but flat and slice serves were great!

Solid frameThis is a very solid frame if you are looking for precision and control on your groundstrokes. Great racquet for serves and volleys as well.

Significantly heavier than speed pro 2022A friend and I both hit with Speed Pro 2022s and have found that our respective black editions are significantly heavier than our normal racquets. Not sure if this is a manufacturing defect, or if the black paint weighs more, but it's uncomfortable and I'll be looking to return/sell this one.

Best stick on the marketI've tried many different racquets in my 40 yrs of playing. While others, like Wilson, Tecnifibre, Yonex, or Babolat are pretty solid, it really all comes down to personal comfort and preference. That being said, I do feel that Head racquets have always been the top choice. Whether you like a 16x19, or 18x20 string pattern, as long as you know what best suites your style of play, you can't go wrong with Head. In particular, the Speed Pro has been the best choice for over 10yrs now. I still demo others every time something new comes along, but nothing compares, in my opinion. I'm a 5.0 player. And I take all things into consideration. Even shoe performance. I don't just choose what's comfortable. But what also helps me play at my highest level. Everything plays a part.
