Overview

Introducing the TF-X1 300! With this racquet, Tecnifibre has created a modern player’s racquet with seductive levels of spin, power and comfort (emphasis on power). Boasting a sub-325 swingweight, this stick has impressive all-court speed, making it great for whipping up spin or reacting quickly when the pressure is on. Technologies include Tecnifibre’s IsoFlex System which utilizes grooves in the racquet’s bumper to create a more consistent playing string bed. To help with comfort, the TF-X1 features an updated version of the dampening system developed by Rene Lacoste.  It's called X-Damp, and it combines a steel mass with elastomer supports to filter out harsh vibrations. On groundstrokes, this racquet offers an impressive combination speed, comfort and power, and it has enough spin potential to bring the ball down hard. The speedy feel not only makes it great for hitting shots on the run, but it also comes in handy at net where this stick comes around fast and plays great on heated exchanges. The TF-X1 shines on serve where it rewards high tip speed with a powerfully precise ball. Ultimately, this is an impressive addition to the Tecnifibre racquet line. Intermediate players looking for speedy modern player's racquet with easy targeting and above average comfort will love this one.

X1 Biphase of tennis racquetsAnother great racquet from one of my favorite manufacturers. The X dampening system on this thing actually works. It's not a gimmick like from some other manufacturers. I can swing out to the fences with a full bed of polyester, as hard as I want, with no discomfort whatsoever. This racquet has a lot of free and easy power. It reminds me of one of my first tennis racquets: a 110 square inch racquet with synthetic gut from the factory, launching balls a mile away — the good old days. It's got the same amount of power and comfort as an oversized tennis racquet with more control. This is a great racquet for those of you who find the Babolat Pure Drive too stiff and want something similar but in a more comfortable package. I would describe this as the Tecnifibre X1 Biphase of tennis racquets; it's that good. Totally underrated.

Great racquet for returning to the sport! This racquet is amazingly weighted. It does everything it needs to do to keep itself out of your way when you return back to the sport of tennis!

Tecnifibre TF-X1 300The new X1 line of frames replaces the T-Flash and T-Flash lines. I have the 300 version in both those lines. The new X1 300 feels better than both previous lines on ball contact, swings faster than the PS 300 equivalent, but is much less stable than either the PS 300 or older T-Flash 300 models. This loss of stability requires the addition of weight to the 3 and 9 o'clock positions on the frame which will then change the swing weight and balance point of the racquet. The older T-Flash 300 feels rock solid on contact and needs no weight adjustments, but is a much stiffer feeling frame. The T-Flash 300 PS version felt better but it's thicker beam made it swing a bit clunkier (for baseline players). The new X1 solves that issue and swings super fast, with easy power, but just doesn't have the mass needed to counterpunch against heavy hitters. Think of this frame as a lighter feeling, faster swinging, Babolat Pure Strike 100. Tecnifibre frames are always top quality and well made.

Comments: I am extremely excited about this tennis racquet. I play many similar racquets such as the Head Extreme MP or Babolat Pure Drive. For my game it fits perfectly. I can generate more power than with the others mentioned and also at the net I like it very much. The feel is muted, but pleasant- not dead. Maybe it is a little more unstable than the Babolat, but for me that isn't a negative. The control on the forehand is significantly better than the Head. It is currently my first choice. Strung with T1 Firewire Boost at 54 lbs.

Comments: I just purchased this racquet last week after using a demo for four days. I really love it. It's a comfortable but crisp racquet. I can feel a bit of flex, and the vibration dampening system is very effective. My arm feels no effects. I would say it is in-between the Babolat Pure Drive and the Wilson Clash Pro. Not as stiff as the Pure Drive and not as flexy as the Clash (what is?) There is good power to it. I may add a little weight to 3 and 9. I'm a 5.0 player with a modern game (semi western forehand), and love to finish at the net. I'm done with the thin beamed racquets that require you to generate all the power. I'm 55, a tournament player and PTR certified instructor. I string this racquet at 47 lbs with Hyper G Soft (16L). Also, the weight is off from TW specs. My racquet is 11.3 oz strung and 11.5 with an overgrip and vibration dampener. This makes it heavier than the Pure Drive and Pure Aero and lighter than the Clash Pro.

Comments: Just got this, and after two hitting sessions I am very pleased ample power and great feel, with no vibration. It is strung with a solinco hybrid. I would highly recommend this racquet. I switched from the Wilson Ultra.
