Overview

Introducing the TF40 315 (16x19)! This new addition to Tecnifibre's line combines speed and spin with impressive feel and pocketing. It also has a 16x19 string pattern, making it slightly more spin-friendly than the original TF40 315 (18x20). Although it is the heaviest model in the TF40 family, this stick packs a very speedy swingweight (313-RDC), making it great for whipping up pace and spin or cranking winners on the run. It also offers very quick handling at net while feeling surprisingly stable when redirecting pace. Technologies include a stable RS Sharp beam along with Dynacore XTC for extra touch, dwell time and pocketing. This racquet also has Foam Inside for a more solid feel at impact. Ultimately, the TF40 315 (16x19) is a great option for intermediate players who want a precise and spin-friendly weapon with great feel. It's also a worthy option for advanced players who crave raw speed.

Nice RacquetPlays lighter than the specs indicate. Needs at least four to six grams at the hoop some at 10 and 2 and 3 and 9. Extremely maneuverable, more of a lively launch, but controllable. Grip shape feels awkward on forehand grip but feels nice on the one handed backhand. A thicker string could work well here to increase swing weight, add control and stability and slow the racquet a bit because it swings quickly through the air. Overall a good racquet, but needs some customization.

I love this racquetI don't like writing reviews but I don't see any players around me playing with this racquet so I thought I'd share my experience. I really love the feel of this racquet. It has great control in the sweet spot which is rather large for the head size, and off of the sweet spot it is as forgiving as I could expect it to be. I also really like the swing weight, and it is just the right amount head-heavy. I wanted to make the grip a little less cushiony and a bit smaller so I installed a Yonnex grip. This is nitpicking but with the Tecnifibre grip and the Wilson overgrip it was little too cushiony for me.

Fantastic4.0 coming from ProStaff and Blade. As other reviewers have mentioned, this racquet sits between the two. Prefect blend of control, power, spin, and comfort. There is nothing about this racket I don't like. Plays with more plow through than the swing weight suggests. I was planning to add weight in the head, but it has been unnecessary.

Perfect Racquet. This is the perfect racquet for me. I've not yet bought one but got the demo this week. I own a TF40 305 18x20, 97H, PT 2.0, Phantom 100x 18, Warrior, Pro Staff 97, Gravity Tour. I've also demoed pretty much every single other racquet Tennis Warehouse sells. Nothing feels this good. The spin potential difference is massive compared to the original 305. Hitting short angles on the run is effortless. This racquet allows me to hit any shot I can think of with ease. I don't notice much of a stability difference either from the lower swingweight. Only good things to say about it. Zero negatives. It is the racquet of my dreams.

Amazing Feel & ControlThis racquet has amazing feel and control. Best feeling racquet since my Blade v7 18x20. If you crave feel and control, check this racquet out. I did add 4 grams total to 10 and 2 o'clock to get the swing weight up to 325-330 range.

A Masterpiece In the MakingI am in love with this racquet! I had it customized to my specific specs, and it plays like a dream. You get enough spin on the right shots, but you also get deep balls. When swinging this beast, I enjoy the whooshing sound it makes. With off balance shots, you can hit forehand winners, cross-court runners, and defend like a champ.

Mind BogglingThe prior reviews do not lie. This is a hybrid between a Pro Staff and a spin friendly stick like the Pure Aero. I've tested a ton of racquets...TLDR this is the ONE!

Longtime Player, First Time TechnifibreStrung with Solinco Confidential: Love this racquet. It feels so natural to swing: drives through the ball well and is weighted nice for my swing and game.

Honest racquet.I love this racquet. Gives good spin, better precision, and unlike the playtest, amazing stability (I added weights, although only 2g). As to the pop, I do not feel much help from the racquet, but still enough. It is string sensitive. I had it strung with 1.25 FH as usual, then my ball slowed down immediately. 1.20 FH on the other hand, bumped up the speed enough. Being 315g, it has not much room for customization, but 1g at 3 and 9 position will add to this racquet the perfect plow and stability.

Instant ClassicI'm a racquet-aholic, and my main frames were the Tuxedo Pro Staff 97, Strike 98 16x19 Gen 3, Wilson Pro Labs Blade Pro, Prestige 360+ MP, then the Speed Pro (ltd edition black cosmetic) in the last 3-4 years. I tried the TF40 18x20 back in the day and liked it, but it just wasn't lively enough. The 16x19 is amazing. It is whippy, stable, maneuverable, and just seems to add "more" to every part of my game. Bigger serves, better shape, better touch - and I'm a sucker for the cosmetic. As another reviewer said, it is reminiscent of the pro staff 90, but waaay more forgiving. I'm using it with Yonex Poly Tour Rev 1.20mm at 52/50 lbs and it's insane. I'll probably bump up the tension since it's getting warmer, though. I'm ready to stock up! Note: QC is not great. Mine both have leathers and overgrips and one is 12.2oz and the other is 11.7oz. I prefer the heavier one FWIW.

swing hard and fastI was looking to move on from my Blade v7 and picked this up. The Blade had a couple of issues, not enough power and I was having some arm issues. The foam in the TF40 really helped with comfort and it is likely the most comfortable feeling racquet out there. Feel is decent with such a thin frame, and it is high maneuverable. In terms of power, I found it to be a little low on swing weight and therefore plow through. The other surprise was the string pattern. I feel compared to the Blade it is a tight 16x19 with lower trajectory and a little less spin than the Blade. And you really need to have a ton of racquet head speed with your serve and groundstrokes for this racquet to be at its best. I strung it at 52 lbs with Razor code but would consider stringing it next time with a textured poly like Tour Bite to enhance spin. Not quite the goldilocks racket I was looking for, but a solid performer for advanced players and or advanced players looking for a little comfort.

Comments: The best racquet I've ever used- hands down. I'm a 5.0 player; had been using the original TF40 with 18x20 pattern for a while but gave up due to lack of spin and easy pace, particularly on serve. Always wanted a 16x19 version as nothing else I tried felt as good as the TF40 frames and had that nice plow. Went over to the Head Extreme Tour and then the Tecnifibre T-Rebound Iga stick, customized with some lead in the handle and hoop - great stick, nice and crisp, but lacks a bit of feel and heft. Finally Tecnifibre releases the 16x19 version and it's everything I hoped it would be. Feels like my old Pro Staff 90- the dwell time on contact is beautiful; the control is outstanding; the spin is huge; the feel is just perfection. Tried a lot of frames over the years but nothing comes close to this - truly has absolutely everything in one package.
